Dr Eddie French has over 30 years’ experience in the pharma and biotech industry. He holds BSc in biochemistry and a PhD in drug delivery, both from the University of Bath where he was also a Lecturer in Pharmaceutics prior to embarking on his industrial career. Eddie spent 17 years at Pfizer in Sandwich leading drug product and CMC teams for both traditional small molecule and large molecule biological development programmes. He has considerable expertise in inhaled dosage form development with over 20 years in the field, through leading the pharmaceutical sciences team for the Pfizer Respiratory portfolio and more latterly through working with the likes of Verona Pharma, Pulmocide, Ena Respiratory and Johnson and Johnson for their lung cancer initiative. Eddie is a former chair of the Academy of Pharmaceutical Sciences of Great Britian and headed their Inhaled Delivery Focus Group. He has held Professorships in the School of Pharmacies at both Nottingham and Bath Universities and currently holds an adjunct position at Monash University in Melbourne.
